In addition to the snow white beaches of Gulf Shores.... Golf, Tennis, Deep Sea Fishing, Boating, and Water Skiing are just a few of the relaxing activities available. For the children, there is a zoo and water parks. Also, one of the largest outlet malls in the South is located approximately 8 miles north of the chapel.

Nearby Ft. Morgan preserves what was a Confederate stronghold during the Civil War. Dauphin Island, which is east of Gulf Shores, is Alabama’s only barrier Island. It’s also home to the other important Civil War Fortress, Ft. Gaines. Both Ft. Morgan and Ft. Gaines are impressive brick structures... it’s not redundant to see both, and easy to do if you take the 30 minute ferry across the Mobile Bay between the two forts.
